My work as a colour artist at Madame Tussauds involves bringing wax to life with many intricate layers of paint. Through my love of 3D photo realism I discovered the art of re-borning, where I use very similar processes to bring each vinyl sculpt alive.

Re-borning takes a lot of time and patience to bring each vinyl doll to life. I build up very thin layers of Genesis heat set paint, baking the vinyl in the oven to cure the paint between each layer. The hair is then directionally micro rooted, one or two hairs a time to achieve the desired effect.
